Thomas & Patrick ~ 19 days old | Charlotte Newborn Photographer

I was pretty excited to get an email last month from this mom-to-be that she was having twin boys and they were interested in a newborn session. It’s hard to predict how a newborn session will go with one baby so adding in another one can be challenging. However, these little guys were a dream to work with. They were the perfect little models; And how in love do mom and dad look with these babies!?! Parent shots are always a favorite of mine;) Thank you so much guys for trusting me with your precious babies and letting me capture these memories for you.

Also a big thank you to my sister, who took time out to come assist me. I couldn’t have done it without you:)

Briggs ~ 9 days old | Charlotte Newborn Photographer

It’s 2015 and like everyone I set goals for myself every year to improve. One of my photography goals for the year is to improve my newborn sessions. Newborn photography is definitely one of the most challenging genres of photography. You have to be able to balance so many things to have a successful shoot. So with this goal in mind my first official shoot of the year was with this amazing little guy. He was great to work with and a fantastic way to start off 2015. Mom and Dad were so relaxed and easy going during our shoot, which made for some beautiful parent shots. Thank you guys so much for allowing me to photograph your little one.

Final Post of the Year | Charlotte Children’s Photographer

It’s been an incredible year in my family and I’m feeling so thankful for all of our blessings. We welcomed our second baby boy and bought our very first house this year, two amazing and life changing events. I also met one of my personal photography goals of being accepted as a CMpro through ClickinMoms. Something I’ve strived for for a few years now.  This year hasn’t come without heartbreak and difficult times but we managed to make it through and our family is stronger for it. I can’t wait to see what 2015 will bring for us. I thought I’d share this little mini session I did with my boys recently. They bring so much warmth and love to our family and I can’t image my life without them. I hope you guys have had an amazing year and I wish you all the best in 2015.

Sweet Green Holiday Session | Charlotte Children’s Photographer

I’ve been anxiously waiting to share this little beauties’ session.  My blog needs some girliness to even out all these boys:) Oh, the stars aligned for this one.  It was a beautiful fall day, with an incredible location and the cutest little red head. (A big thank you to her grandparents for letting us shoot her session on their beautiful farm).  Her mommy always does a fantastic job styling this little one.  Sometimes working with 2 year olds can be challenging, but she did such an amazing job during the shoot.  I photographed her as a newborn 2.5 years ago and I’m so honored that I have been able to capture her milestones up to this point.  She is such a sweet girl!  I just love how her hair really pops against the greens in the photos.

Fall Portraits in Blue | Charlotte Children’s Photographer

Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! I know this week is a big shopping week for most people. One of the gifts I try to give my family every year for the holidays is a portrait of my kiddos. It usually gets a big excited response from the grandparents and aunts and uncles. It’s also really nice to see my images in print and not stuck on my hard drive forever. I realized last week, as I was picking out photos to print, that I didn’t have any recent portraits of A.  So I spent 2o minutes outside with him in my backyard and it was well worth the mini chocolate muffins I had to bribe him with to get these shots. No, I am not above bribery when it comes to photographing my own children:) I’m so in love with these and I just had to share. I hope everyone has an amazing and safe holiday!
